Before I’m off to run with the wolves or whatever it is you think I do when I’m not here, I thought I’d post some links to a couple of bands that got me out of my 3-week Bat For Lashes kick, if only for the night.

Jessica Seven is from Hot Springs and they’ve got some damn good energy and a drive that kind of reminds me of a way harder Love and Rockets. They actually sound nothing like Love and Rockets, it’s just the feel. Like Arcade Fire and Springsteen. I’m definitely going to kick and scream to get to their next Juanita’s show in November.

Light of Pain is a little ol’ metal outfit from Greenbrier. Just a nice, straight forward boot heel to the face. Unfortunately, these dorks are playing their next 2 shows on nights I’m either going to be heathenizing up in the mountains or making a newspaper. I strongly encourage checking them out, even if I can’t.
